Shirt dresses are easy and not so easy to pull off. The Ralph Lauren one is the best to wear in real life, since it is so classy and realistically effortless. If you're thinking of actually wearing an oversize t-shirt as a dress, add some detailing, such as a belt so it accentuates the waist, it makes a big difference.

The problem is, the shirt "dress" by itself without the jeans just looks like a plain old t-shirt, and the belt just looks like it was thrown together, and the beige and white clash, the whole outfit makes me feel a bit queasy actually.

Super cute, jersey shirt dress. Might look plain, but once it's on and you add your own twist, it'll look good with anything. Except it's knee lenght and for summer 2006, we're keeping it above the knee. This one is more of a classic, Ralph Lauren inspired piece. -- forever 21 $24.80
That's a dress? I love it as a coat even. It's actually perfect outerwear for Fall 2006 and military look, but we haven't covered that yet. I love this piece. -- Anne Klein New York $395
Great styles never go out of fashion our shirt dress is the perfect weekend dress, not too casual but not too dressy. This very Betsey Johnson with the poka dots. -- forever 21 $27.80

I have to say the print on this dress is rather unsettling. It just doesn't flatter the body or help in anywhich way. -- Diane Von Furstenberg $275.00

I saw the commercial, Tara Jarmon for Target so i had to check it out, sure enough they have this adorable, playful cute shirtdress. It's just so fun and bubbly. The shoes are killing me though, honestly everyone (especially Urban Outfitters) needs better clothing models on their website. -- Tara Jarmon for Target $29.99 target.com
